Puppet mental health day

Image
We are a small group of creative people, from Tech Arts theatre and film, who took part in a puppet-making for a mental health workshop.  The theme of the workshop was about making things, with a range of basic art supplies to make the models and crafts for the puppeteering, with the idea that you can make something from basic supplies.  Working with the idea for film satire and ideas about shows like the Muppets for the entertainment industry.   Why I took part was because I wanted to participate in a workshop with people, Because I am in my third year of Production for Theatre and Film, and everyone was doing independent study work, I wanted to take part in a group activity using my hands-on skills in a relaxed environment.  I used my skills as an artist and engineered my interpretation creating my own puppet models, by learning the basics of civil engineering, which is where I modeled everything physically. The Monalisa of the north Johannes Vermeer Amsterdam Rijksmuseum exhibition (1632 - 1675 )

They are very rare and valuable oil paintings there are 28 out of 37 in the world! and they were exhibited at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam which I attended on Sat 12th March 2023.  Vermeer portrays realism, showing his famous lady with pearl earrings which was later made into a movie.   My personal favorite was the painting with Eve and the serpent because it told an interesting story within a single image.  Eve and the serpent from the bible where Eve eats the poisoned apple and then killed the serpent with a brick.  I learned more in-depth about art and its history and had the unique experience once in a lifetime work. The design and positions of the art as well as the in-depth stories told within one image. It was well attended with a lot there.  I went to see the Vangou exhibiting as well went I was in Amsterdam, which was not as interesting as you can see Vangou anywhere, and the Vermeer was a once in a life time experience for me.

Lego Exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery

Lego exhibition at the Saatchi gallery. The bright colours of the blocks.  Who: People at the Sarchi Gallery  What: The lego exhibition Where: The Sarchi Gallery in London How: working together with Star Wars and Harry Potter to create fun little scenes of Lego characters.  It was impressive to take a lego brick and scale it up to a real person. and the bricks themselves can be characters with their bright colours that stand off the page.  Set in the film Satire for Lego where it's a crime to cross into the fun forbidden zone of Lego creativity.  Taking the greatest and most deadly villain "Darth Vader" and turning him into a fun children's toy. Fliping him on his side.  using the Lego principle and taking that into my concept ideas for Unit 11, concept drawings.
